Google Sites - No Degree Needed!

Sometimes you hear your friends start a conversation with, "So... I did a thing", and it usually either means they had an embarrassing moment in public or made a mistake they have already learned the lesson from. So, I did a thing. I made a Google Site. I thought this was what people who go to college and get a degree in business marketing do. Turns out, anyone can do it. No degree (or student debt) needed! 

My Google Site was designed to be a resource hub that allows educators and leadership staff to organize, search, locate documents, and ask for help on course assessment and accreditation. It's a sandbox for me, so it's not finalized or supported by a certain university. It was good practice and exposure as I look for an Assessment Specialist/Curriculum Manager role in education. Coincidentally, I was talking to a couple of my pre-teen students while playing a card game, and one of them bought a used mower to start a mowing business. The other student said he and his friends have a lawn care service business. Turns out, both students had a Google Site to advertise their business. They're like... 12. People went to college to learn how to do this, how to make it professional, and how to make a living with this skill. Now, maybe these students' sites aren't that professional, but regardless of their quality, it shows that it's a skill that anybody - even kids - can do.

Google Vids - A Beginner's Way To Create Professional Media Videos

 Most people have some exposure to AI-created videos, shorts, or reels from their mobile devices. You know, the ones that have the same monotone, male voice explaining the unknown historical origin of a random common phrase? At first, it looks overwhelming. There are AI-created images, AI-created narrations, animations for images, the timeline of your video, self-made recordings, computer-uploaded content, stock and online photos, and so much more. Google Drive has been a leading data organization platform in today's digital realm of work and productivity. Many features include controlled sharing, user-friendly file and folder organization, seamless uploading and creating of documents, slides, and sheets, and it's all free!
